The Department Post Graduate Committee (DPGC), nominated by the Head of the Department, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Master's and PhD curricula, including monitoring updates or changes. The committee's duties include coordinating the offering of core and elective courses to meet program requirements, assigning tasks to Teaching Assistant (TA) category students, managing the guide selection and allotment process, and coordinating admissions for Master's and PhD programs in collaboration with the admission in-charge, if any. The committee also handles all program conversion requests such as BTech to BTech+MTech, MTech to MTech+PhD, and BTech to BTech+PhD. Additionally, the DPGC serves as the first point of contact and mediator for any guide student conflicts and acts as a member of the School Post Graduate Committee (SPGC). DPGC reports directly to the Head of the Department and the Dean (Academics).
The Department Under Graduate Committee (DUGC), nominated by the Head of the Department, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the BTech curricullum, including monitoring any updates or changes. The DUGC coordinates the offering of necessary courses and electives to fulfill curriculum requirements for BTech, Minor, Honors, and related programs. The committee assists Faculty Advisors, especially in special cases such as double majors or extended leaves, ensuring that Faculty Advisors carry out their duties promptly. The committee also assigns responsibilities to BTech Teaching Assistants (TAs) and serves as a member of the School Under Graduate Committee (SUGC).
